Ritual performance is one way that people connect with the sacred realm to bring overall wellness to their lives.
Ceremonial dance, music, and theatrical performances may take place in various settings such as the temple, a village center, and personal homes. These acts are performed to confer blessings to those in attendance, to make merit, to emulate the spirit world, and to bring balance between the physical and sacred realms. To some, ritual performance is prayer. To others it is a way to express religious or cultural heritage or to affirm one’s devotion by carrying out a particular commandment or practice.
