Winter Glow Holiday Stroll on Museum Hill

Join us for a delightful winter celebration at the Museum of International Folk Art, the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, and the Santa Fe Botanical Garden. Explore and enjoy family-friendly activities at each of our sites throughout the program. 

On December 16, Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, Museum of International Folk Art, and the Santa Fe Botanical Gardens are back with the Winter Glow Holiday Stroll. Admission museums will be free from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Each site has offerings for the evening—ornament making, cookies, hot cocoa, and even a farolito workshop! 

Schedule of events

Museum of International Folk Art Luminarias will live the museum’s entrance, and the museum will be offering ginger cookies and hot cider.

4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: Make and Take Your Farolito Workshop. 

Museum of Indian Arts & Culture Luminarias will line the stairway leading toward the museum. There will also be cookies, pies, and hot “Cota” tea available!

Once visitors have completed their painted ornaments, they can take their completed ornaments home or leave one on the museum’s holiday tree.

4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: Holiday Ornament Painting – Inside the Education Classroom4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Buffalo Dance by Tesuque Pueblo. Milner Plaza Performance Circle. 

Santa Fe Botanical Gardens Walk through the Botanical Gardens lit by farolitos. Santa Fe Classic Theater will be reading from E. Bunting’s Night Tree in the Pavilion, and hot cocoa, natural crafts, ornament making, and horno firing will be happening throughout the evening. 

4:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.: Live Caroling from Santa Fe Music Works 5:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Performance from Bells of St. Francis
