Dia de los Muertos Annual Community Celebration

Free Museum Admission All Day 

Celebrate Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead. Decorate sugar skulls, sample traditional Pan de Muerto, and come view the Ofrenda installation by local artist, Stephanie Riggs. Bring a photo or memento to add to our community altar.

11:00 AM - “Ofrenda” Film Short Screening and Q& A with Terry Ngo, Producer/Director

1:00 - 4:00 PM - Hands-on Activities and Face Painting

1:30 and 3:00pm - Mexican folkloric dance performances by Los Niños de Santa Fe

Ofrenda installation will be on view from October 27 through November 10, 2024.

Los Niños de Santa Fe Dance Performance

Be enchanted by the lively performance of Los Niños de Santa Fe who will captivate the audience with traditional Mexican folk dances. Their vibrant costumes and skillful moves bring to life the joyful spirit of Día de los Muertos, where music and dance are an important part of celebrating both life and memory.

Ofrenda Installation by Local Artist Stephanie Riggs 

This year’s event will also feature an ofrenda installation by local artist Stephanie Riggs. Her beautifully crafted altar will offer a space for reflection and connection, honoring the lives of those who have passed. Visitors can view the intricate artwork and learn more about the significance of ofrendas in Día de los Muertos, which serve as a way to welcome spirits back to the world of the living with love, food, and cherished memories.
