Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at a museum?
Join us for a look into the world of museum collections care and preservation. This lecture will explore the unique methods and complex challenges in stewarding the Museum of International Folk Art’s 160,000 objects!
Kate Macuen is the Director of Collections at the Museum of International Folk Art. She has worked for MOIFA since 2021. Prior to relocating to Santa Fe, NM, Macuen spent over a decade working for the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Tribal Historic Preservation Office and Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum. She brings decades of experience working in the museum field and specializes in collection stewardship and preventative conservation. Registration is free for FOFA Members. All participants must be current members of the FOFA. A Single membership allows access to one ticket. A Dual membership allows for two tickets.
